A TENOR EXTRAORDINAIRE

Trygve John is one of those rare tenors whose voice inspires the listener to feel the emotion and beauty of the music as it was intended by the composer. I have witnessed Trygve John Ringereide performing in various genres and venues, and in each case he was spectacular. He has the ability to sing everything from opera to Broadway. Ringereide is the whole package.

Trygve John is that rare thing, a ‘helden’ tenor with a strong sense of lyricism. He is thoroughly at home in a wide repertoire – opera, oratorio, art song, and pop. I have greatly enjoyed listening to his “Che Gelida Manina”, his singing of Stainer’s Crucifixion, not to mention his wonderful ‘Elvis’ renditions.
