Acclaimed as a pianist of raw power, exquisite sensitivity, reverence and intelligence, Parvaneh Eshghi’s artistry breathes with spontaneity, profundity, conviction, range and a wide, imaginative palette of colours. Her emotional intensity at the keyboard draws listeners in and transports them, making her an audience favourite and in demand both as a soloist and collaborative artist. Parvaneh is hailed by critics as a multi-faceted artist who is “sensitive” and “whose understanding of the requirements of varied repertoire contributes significantly to the listener’s pleasure” (Wolfgang’s Tonic).
Parvaneh has acquired a rich tapestry of performing experiences, including multiple recordings with CBC radio, live and in studio, solo concert tours, festival appearances as well as innumerable concert series features. Her career encompasses artistic manifestations in both solo and collaborative settings, vocal and instrumental coaching, as well as application of her extensive training in solo singing and choral conducting. Parvaneh has worked frequently with accomplished musicians of international fame, among many, mezzo-soprano and CBC Radio 2 host, Julie Nesrallah, harpist and Juno nominee Caroline Léonardelli, National Arts Center Orchestra violinist and Ottawa Junior Youth Orchestra conductor David Thies-Thompson, and Ottawa Symphony Orchestra principal trumpetist, Travis Mandel.
Parvaneh’s creative flair and artistic depth are furthermore demonstrated in her writings. She is an avid poet and enjoys film analysis and writing film reviews as pastime. Her poem entitled The Dragonfly won the first prize for the Midnight Poets Quest.
Parv passionately believes in the sanctity of the concert experience, where performer and audience come together to create a transformative experience, one that deepens the emotional landscape and enriches, for life.
